Today, we toured the Icefields Parkway between Banff and Jasper. It was incredible. The glacial silt called rock flour gets deposited in lakes and streams creating the most fabulous blue color in the water. Lake Louise, nestled in a sheltered valley, was one of the most striking examples of this that we saw. The lake was calm and the sun was shining on the mountains. I got some wonderful pics.
