Project 365 Day 88

There is no doubt that kids bring that intangible something special to any relationship. Baby visited again today and my sweet daughter was totally enraptured. She watched every move the baby made and was totally impressed by every squeak, pop, fluff and pee. When I asked if she wanted to hold the baby, she jumped up on the sofa and held out her arms, as confident as a mother with a houseful of kids. My heart flipped and melted at the same time. Love is a miracle.

Love to you all :)

Project 365 Day 87

Today was a beautiful day!   Daddy bought Kyra a new helmet and she simply had to try it out.  Her bike is still stored for winter, but her scooter was available.  I can't wait for spring weather...I don't think she can either.

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 86

Today my little girl wanted makeup. She chose some of the most sparkly eyeshadow I have ever seen. She didn't really want to wear it, but she fell in love with the colors and with the fact that it reminded her of "pixie dust" from our trip to Disney last year. At bedtime, she wanted to take pictures of these things because they are her favorites. The eye makeup is in the black case. The little bear was a gift at valentines. She loves it because it lights up and flashes different colors. The overexposed white is a teeny bunny she bought with her own money. The pop up mirror comes with sparkly lip gloss (what else...?). And...of course, her camera.
That's my girl!

Have a great day.

Project 365 Day 85

Woot!  I feel a bit strange tooting my own horn, but I'm proud of myself today.  My scrap layout of my friends sweet baby was recognized as the Layout of the Day at Gotta Pixel.  This adorable girl was easy to scrap.

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 84

I have spent hours with pics of my friend's baby this week.  This has made me nostalgic for my own baby.  Although she is now 5 1/2, I still recall those early days so vividly.  Joy, excitement, apprehension, fatigue...but most of all sheer wonder at how perfect she was.  We think she still is perfect.  Here she is at about a week of age.

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 83

What a marvelous week.  Today, a wee baby came for her first visit to my house.  It was her Mommy's birthday today and it was a big one.  I'm not going to say how many, but you can count the candles on the cake if you wish.

Happy Birthday Sweet Friend of mine.  I'm glad you had help blowing out your cake.

Project 365 Day 82

We actually picked up our new car today.  It's a real treat to have a brand new car.  That smell, yes, you know the one...new leather, cleanliness, absence of kids, absence of snow, grime...mmm.  I think dh likes it.

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 81

Welcome to the world little one.  You are beautiful and surrounded by love.

Have a wonderful day!

Project 365 Day 80

The first day of spring is the perfect day to have a baby.  My best friend has been waiting impatiently for the arrival of her third little angel and today she decided to arrive.  It was a real joy and privilege to have been invited to share in this miraculous experience.  My ovaries are aching...

Have a beautiful day!

Project 365 day 79

Das Auto!  Today we purchased a new car.  Dh has been driving his current car for 10 years and it is time to get a new one.  We don't actually get it until early next week as they need to do some pre-delivery stuff with it, but it's officially ours today.

Drivers wanted :)

Project 365 Day 78

Here is my sweet girl who is not feeling well.  It is very rare to see her take a nap in the daytime anymore.  I couldn't resist this shot.  She looks so adorable.

Hoping you had a great day!

Project 365 Day 77

We've been going through a bit of a stomach bug here.  I did get a pic, but I'll have to come back later to edit and post - Life happens n'est-ce pas?

Here it is.  A lovely bouquet of flowers made for me by my sweet girl.  She made these and drew the picture to help me feel better.  It worked.  :)  The next day, I returned the favor when she was under the weather.

Hoping you are well.

Project 365 Day 76

Kids are truly incredible.

Ironically, today being Paddy's Day, I have been feeling green...not the good kind of green. When dd came home from school, I had no energy to go out and play or even to stay in and play for that matter. She let me rest and spent her time making me a puppet show to help me feel better. I love her so much! She also made me some get better flowers and brought me water in a paper cup. Such a sweetie!

Here's hoping you all have someone to make you feel better when you are ill.

Project 365 Day 75

Spring is coming!  Temperatures are rising and the sun is showing itself more and more each day.  Clocks changed last weekend and the longer evenings are already making me feel more alert and energetic.  Although snow still covers my entire yard, signs of renewal are everywhere.  This is a photo of one of my least preferred plants - hens and chicks.  The sedum type plant is attractive ground cover for most of the summer until it blooms in late summer.  Its paltry pink flowers protrude on rude looking stems which overwhelm the tiny blooms.  Today, however, against the background of melting snow, the opened and browned seed pods offer a sign of hope that spring is just around the corner.  I can't wait!

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 73

DD finally has her new Tinkerbell room.  We all worked hard yesterday and made the move happen a little sooner than we had originally predicted.  The desk is still in the box, but the rest of the room is done and none of us wanted to wait any longer.  It was so much fun creating a real girly girl room with her.

Remember...

Project 365 Day 72

Gotta Pixel has been making alphabet prompts all month.  Many of my pics were inspired by the letter of the day.  Today's was more than a  little challenging - the letter X.

Here' mine. X is for... ... ... Can you guess it? This currently hangs in the unfinished part of our basement, but occupied a prominent place in the rec room for a significant period in the nineties.

That's right...the poster is a replica of the one that hung in Muldur's office on the TV series the X-Files. I think I gotta get a life

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 71

It was very very cold and grey out today.  Consequently, we spent the morning playing board games.  DD played Clue for the first time without a team mate...and she won.  I'm so proud she kept all her clues organised.  Next, she beat me handily at Pretty Pretty Princess.  I think she may have had an advantage in that one.  She certainly is the prettiest princess at our house :)

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 70

Is it age or too much time in front of the computer screen? Who knows for sure. All I can say is I need these more and more each day.  I've been coping for a long time just wearing them occasionally, but I think I need to actually admit it's time to wear them regularly.   I do love the touch of red - my favorite color :)

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 69

Unassembled and unfinished...Yikes...Why did I decide dd needed a new desk?

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 68

Indiana Jones has always been a character enjoyed by my dh.  Appropriately, this gift he received for his birthday will occupy an important place on his desk.  His co-workers will undoubtedly appreciate the occasional Dunh...dunh...dunh...duunnhhh...dunh...dunh...dunh...as someone passes by and presses his fedora.  Hehehe...

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 67

Today is an awesome day in Newfoundland.  We have had a great deal of rain, sleet and grey weather recently and it perked my spirit greatly to open the blinds this morning to a brightly shining sun.  The sparkle it created on the melting ice was so pretty, I had to capture it somehow.  Here is my shot of seasonal sparkle.  Hopefully it is a sign that spring is on the way.

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 66

I just love birthday celebrations!  The more candles the better...hehehe.  Fortunately, dh had some young lungs to help him blow out the flames this year!

Happy Birthday Old Man!
Thanks to Auntie Boo for taking today's pic :)

Project 365 Day 65

My best friend has been growing her beautiful copper colored hair for about a year in order to donate it to Locks of Love. They will take it and make a hairpiece for people battling cancer and who have lost their own hair due to their treatment. These pics are her before and after looks. The photos are from yesterday, but I scrapped them today for my 365.  I wanted both pics for the day so I needed to make a page.

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 64

Perhaps I'm cheating a little.  I didn't take this pic today.  It's from Wednesday.  I'll post today's photo with tomorrow's photo.

Painting is fun - DD and one of her best friends.

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 63

On our way to Pixie Hollow...

The bedroom transformation has begun and our sweet girl insisted on helping.  Bless her for her kindness and enthusiasm.  I could not say no.  I was a bit concerned about how it would go, but she was so excited and wanted to do a good job.  In the end, she painted three major sections of wall at her height and Mommy only made a few finishing touch ups.  Yay for taking a chance.

Have a great day.

Project 365 Day 62

We went shopping for yogourt and paint rollers at Walmart, and came home with real treasure.  It's a deep purple Tink night dress, and it was on sale!  Can you tell she likes it?

Here's hoping something makes you smile like this.

That silly monkey...

Curious George is a favorite of my daughter.  Today, we purchased the newest of the monkey movies.  Her belly laugh as she watches it makes me laugh too.

Have a great day.

Project 365 Day 60

Bath time is one of the best and ofthen the messiest time of the day.  Today, dd wanted to take her bath in our large air jet tub with lots and lots and lots of bubbles.  I could'n resist taking some pics.  She had a blast.

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 59

It's gotta be KD:  a favored lunch of daddy and daughter.  Mommy just wishes she could like it more!

Have a great day!
