Spring is coming! Temperatures are rising and the sun is showing itself more and more each day. Clocks changed last weekend and the longer evenings are already making me feel more alert and energetic. Although snow still covers my entire yard, signs of renewal are everywhere. This is a photo of one of my least preferred plants - hens and chicks. The sedum type plant is attractive ground cover for most of the summer until it blooms in late summer. Its paltry pink flowers protrude on rude looking stems which overwhelm the tiny blooms. Today, however, against the background of melting snow, the opened and browned seed pods offer a sign of hope that spring is just around the corner. I can't wait!
Have a great day!
