Project 365 Day 254

Each year, at the end of the summer, Nanny, dd and I take a girls afternoon and go blueberry picking in Cupids.  Today was the day.  It was a bit overcast, but it was warm, there was no wind, and the berries were plentiful.  After picking enough berries to fill all of our containers, we made a stop at the local playground and then went back to Nanny's for supper.  All in all another wonderful day!

Both of dd's Poppys have their birthday in September, and only one day apart.  We always celebrate with a big family dinner.  This year the Poppys needed a little help blowing out the candles on their blueberry cake.  Fortunately there were a couple of volunteers ready to share their young lungs.

Project 365 Day 251

First day of school!  Daddy took her to school on this special day.  Dd was thrilled to find her new classroom and teacher.  Her best school friend is in her class again this year, and all is right in her world.  My wish is that she always be as lucky and happy.

All of my students started today as well.  All was ready and it was as though I was never away.  How is it possible that 15 months passes and so little changes???  I can't wait to find out who all these new minds are :)

Well, the day finally came.  I had to go back to work.  Students didn't go back for another day, so dd spent the day with my bff and her family.  They had great fun at the park and my sweet friend took these pics for me.  What a beautiful group of kids!

Dd loves to be a part of whatever is going on...especially if paint is involved.  Today she helped Daddy do chores like touching up the paint on the garage door.  Such a great assistant.

Simmer holidays are winding to an end...a lovely warm end in our case.  School and regular routines begin again after the Labour Day holiday, but for now, we are enjoying summer for as long as we can.  Today, dd enjoyed what is likely to be her last outdoor splash fest for 2010.

Today was the last soccer evening for 2010.  She says her favorite part was playing with Daddy while waiting for practice to start. :)

My dd is totally captivated by small babies, most especially by my bff's 6 month old daughter.  Recently, dd has decided to extend this interest to her dolly Clara.  So totally sweet.  She makes my heart swell.  :)
